Supportive Function:
A high dose formula of the popular antioxidant vitamins C and beta carotene, augmented with synergistic bioflavonoids (plant phytochemicals with biological activity). Incorporated into a time-release tablet to maximize total absorption of the vitamin over a period of time, in a gentle, natural manner. This makes it an ideal supplement to be chosen by anyone wishing to get an amount of vitamin C equivalent to approximately 1,000 mg in one dose.
Ingredients:
Time Released Beta Carotene & Vitamin C Each Tablet Supplies: Natural Beta Carotene 30,000 units, Vitamin C (time released) 1,000mg, Lemon Bioflavonoids 100mg.
Contraindications:
There is a possible interaction with beta-carotene and smoking that has not been determined as of yet. Beta carotene is a powerful antioxidant, but until more is determined, it is wise not to take it in combination with smoking. Since it is only converted to vitamin A as needed, beta carotene does not have the associated toxicity of high doses. High dosages of vitamin C (>1000 mg.) should not be taken by gout patients or by kidney stone formers. Vitamin C is contraindicated in iron overload disease.
